Located right by Old Street Station, Shoreditch Grind is a grungy coffee spot that epitomizes the neighborhood of Shoreditch in London. The grungy, artsy coffee shop blasts rock music while people sip on espresso and relax with friends. The space is pretty large, with seating inside and outside, and resembles a concert venue.
The service was surprisingly quick despite the amount of customers coming in and out. In addition to the selection of espresso drinks; nitro cold brew on tap; and the house blend (see details in the picture below), Shoreditch Grind also has a great selection of baked goods and other breakfast foods. I decided to continue to maintaining consistency and order a flat white. The main difference I found in the flat white at Shoreditch Grind was that the espresso had a very nice, nutty aftertaste.
Shoredtich Grind is also a late night hangout, turning into a bar during the evening on Mondays-Saturday. Clearly Shoreditch Grind is not the place to go while in search of study or work space, that said it’s an ideal place to start the weekend with some friends.
Oh, I love it. You were right. We’ll have to go again!
