Despite the fact that I have never even been on the west coast, I am a huge fan of Verve Coffee Roasters. Based in Santa Cruz, CA this company really knows how to roast a coffee full of flavor. My favorite is Miraflores, an Honduran single origin coffee with taste notes of red apple, toffee, and cocoa powder. I first tried this coffee at Barista Parlor and completely fell in love, then I decided to buy a bag for myself to have on hand. This coffee has the bold, chocolatey flavors that are great first thing in the morning, but also more subtle, sweet complexities in the flavor that make you want to keep drinking. Nothing like a sip of some Verve Miraflores coffee to start off March.
